While I post in threads from time to time (and very occasionally make them), I prefer to use the Shoutbox because I mostly frequent the site to just talk to other people about random shit. Threads are too impersonal for me, I prefer (sort of) live conversation.
Keep in mind that people who only read posts on threads they created themselves wouldn't read this thread. Furthermore, people who only read threads that about a subject that interests them and people who rarely read threads would be less likely to see this thread. In that regard, it is not surprising that the most voted option is "I read every post as it is posted".
this was really just to see about people that fit in the first two things. the others are there in the event somebody else chanced into here
