Walking teeth in dark keigan Q_Q

    What is the purpose of these creepy walking teeth-like things in the Dark Keigan area? I tried shooting one down with the hand cannon you get from going into the lodging next to where you get dropped off (when you get in the map).

    I saw that the bullets just went through them and I kept trying. Then I figured, "what will they do when they're near me?"

    So I just stood still and sure enough they walked up to me annnddd....

    Nothing. Why do they exist? To creep us out (which would make sense since Dark Keigan is supposed to have a sort of creepy atmosphere)?

    I have no idea how to describe them... But they have this general shape and they move their "legs" in a weird way.

    They are mostly there for spookyness, but they will push you around alot, and it's not unheard of to get killed by them, if they make you fall too hard :P

    Perhaps next time SYRSA streams we can ask him for something really quick about peukopedes and if he says anything, we'll record it and upload it to the wiki for an official peukopedes wiki page.

    I find them quite strange, because they have no mouth, nostrils, ears, or whatever. How do they even exist? They feed on darkness? Their feet absorb nutrients from the ground?

    PS: Don't call me an imbecile for thinking that the rules of this universe apply to Zerahypt's.
    It's just what i expect.

    Neither do plants, and yet they are capable of life and growth at incredible extremes. I'd wait for SYRSA's input.

    Don't worry about the universe thing. According to SYRSA, Terrahypt takes place in the same universe as this one in the year 2015 (he said that "what's going on Earth isn't really important, Obama is still president and stuff."

    Presumably, Zerahypt as we know it is far away from Earth since there is little to no contact between the two.

    The game is more realistic than we like to think, and with that in mind, everything from Newton's laws of physics to the laws of thermodynamics apply to everything in the Zerahypt universe.

    This zone is being invaded by microbes from another dimension. They are the source of the darkness as well, and the thing which attacks bright lights -- they seem to be organized somehow. Most of the strange life filter-feeds on those microbes.
