I may be able to (eventually, when I get a dedicated place to do so) set up a bunch of server computers to run the multiplayer network. Basically, I would set it up like a supercomputer on a small scale, because I have a LOT of computers sitting around, but they aren't all that powerful, but if I run them together in parallel, then it will be equivalent to a very powerful computer. Only trouble is getting an internet connection fast enough. And I could do it for free. (but only if I am recognized for my contribution)

The system OS would have to be Linux with a windows interface computer, and you would have to be tolerant of errors, delays, and frequent downtime for the first few months, but I can make it work.

Recognized how, then? Shall Mag add a huge fucking banner saying "this all woudn't be possibl withuot timburwlf420. plz love mi" all over the launcher's menu or something?

The most logical solution would be using Hamachi rooms. Free, easy, cheap if you wanna go big. I myself won't even mind leaving my PC on the whole day.

I'm a high school student and I managed to get Hamachi to work properly several times.

The reason I went full battleship there is simple. If you want to volunteerily contribute to anything, you don't go "if".

You don't go "if" when you hand over a buck to a charity event, do you?

Yet right there, you made it sound like we should disco dance around in joy and praise your barely slapped together computer network for maintaining a multiplayer server.

Well, if you don't need me to do anything, that's fine. If you do need me to host a server or something, I am willing to, but it might be a little while, because I would have to water cool these server computers. They are LOUD. Again, I run into the slight problem of the internet connection I have is crap, but I will have to work around that.
