    AFAIK Terrahypt flew past Earth a couple of thousand years ago and picked up some Humans, meaning that the ones you see on Terrahypt are most likely descendants from them, Which means that it's perfectly plausible for it to be set i current time, as those humans aren't the same as the ones here.

    the MevNav were originally a part of the Terrahyptian military, these humans now have a permenant base in Terrahypt; the city Caycreas was taken over as well and is located in Mevy
